A. Awards to Bright Students Scheme– Two boys and two girls in each category i.e., Adi Dravidars, Tribals and Adi Dravidars converted to Christianity who secure highest marks in X standard examination in each district are granted financial assistance for next six years for pursuing higher education. A sum of Rs.1,600/- each for the first year and Rs.2,000/- per annum for the subsequent years is paid.

B. Special Incentive Scheme for Girl Students –(a) To reduce drop outs .Girls who are studying in the standards from III to V are given an incentive of Rs.50/- per student for 10 months in a year.

(b) For Continuing Secondary Education: Girl students studying in VIth standard are given Rs.100/- per month as an incentive for 10 months in a year and for girls studying in VII and VIII standards are given Rs.150/- per month as incentive for 10 months in a year.

The money is deposited in their Mother’s respective Post office savings A/c or in Student’s Bank A/c.

B. Economic Assistance to Women Self-Help Groups

Tribal women self-help groups which have been credit rated twice can avail loan. The objective of the programme is to assist the tribal women SHGS to engage themselves in income generating activities effectively. 50% of the estimated cost of the programme or Rs.3.75 lakh whichever is less is released as subsidy.

*Quotation with TIN No.

*Copy of resolution of the group.

*Project report of the business for which loan is required.

*Certificate in proof of the group having been credit rated twice.

*Copy of bank pass book photos of the promoter and the members of the group.

*SHGs should fill up the application forms properly and submit to the Districts Manager, TAHDCO directly or through the project officer, Tamil Nadu Women’s Development Corporation along with Community Certificate and certificate

* The group should consist of 12 to 15 members only of the tribal women.

* The group should have been credit rated twice.

* Age limit of the members 18 – 60 years .

* Family annual income of each member of the group should not exceed Rs.1 lakh.

* Family annual income of the promoter of the group may be up to Rs.2 lakh.

* Priority will be given to groups getting revolving fund.

C. Providing training for women development

D. Economic Assistance to SHG

Adi Dravidar Women, Men and Transgender Self Help Groups which are graded twice are eligible for Economic Assistance. The aim of the programme is  to make the Self Help Groups to implement economic development schemes efficiently.

•50% of the Project Cost or Rs.2.50 Lakh whichever is lower will be released as TAHDCO subsidy.

The subsidy will be a Front end subsidy

*              The members of the Self Help Group shall belong to SC.

*              The Annual family Income of the Self Help Group members should not exceed Rs.2.00  lakh each.

*              The Self Help Group should have qualified in the first rating for Revolving Fund.

*              The Self Help Group should have qualified in second rating for Economic Assistance.

*              The members of Self Help Group and their family members should not have availed any subsidy so far from any other Government scheme for Revolving Fund and

Economic Assistance.

A. Amma Skill and Employment Training Scheme as announced by Hon’ble CM under rule 110 on 24.07.2014.

Based on that Government has issued order dated 18.05.2015. Further, Guidelines have been issued by the Government on 14.07.2016. Following that, this scheme has been implemented all over Tamil Nadu and training was given to 3,463 persons in 31 districts and in 183 individual units.

Target has been fixed to train about 25,000 candidates during the year 2016-2017. Among these, 30 % seats allocated to women candidates. J. Chief Minister’s Girl Child Protection Scheme

Scheme-I

An amount of Rs.50,000/- is deposited in the name of the girl child born on or after 01/08/2011, in the form of fixed deposit with the Tamil Nadu Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, for 18 years for a family with one girl child only. The copy of the fixed deposit receipt is given to the family of the girl child.

An amount of Rs.25,000/- is deposited in the name of each girl child born on or after 01.08.2011 in the form of fixed deposit with the Tamil Nadu Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, for 18 years for a family with two girl children only.
