Tamilnadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation (TAHDCO) is implementing Economic Development programmes. Bank loans are arranged with TAHDCO subsidy for self employment under Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP), Self Employment Programme for youth(SEPY) Schemes. The physical Target for the year 2017-18 is 457 for all TAHDCO loan schemes in respect of Chennai District. Till now loan sanctioned for 212 cases alone. There are 1179 TAHDCO applications with 199.55 Lakhs of Subsidy component pending with banks. Subsidy amount is readily available for disbursement. As and when banks sanctions the loan subsidy will be released immediately by TAHDCO. Banks may select SC, ST beneficiaries (having an annual income of Rs.1,00,000/-) on their own marketing network under MUDRA , Standup India Schemes and recommend the cases to TAHDCO for availing subsidy. TAHDCO will associate with all the Branch managers and these cases will be processed earlier on priority basis without any delay. Banks are requested to sanction loans to TAHDCO pending applications as well as dovetail suitable cases under MUDRA and Standup India.
Since TAHDCO is insisting not to demand collateral for loans up to Rs.10 Lakhs as per Reserve Bank guidelines Banks are not come forward to sanction loans to TAHDCO beneficiaries. Non repayment of earlier loans and non viable projects are also the reasons for pendency of TAHDCO loan applications with banks.
